White Woman Murdering Baby and Gets No Jail Time

(CNN)An Ohio woman who was found guilty of abuse of a corpse in connexion with the death of her newborn daughter was sentenced Fri to three years of basic supervision but volition serve no more jail time.

I can sometimes be selfish, but I would like to think that I've become meliorate in the knowledge that I've upset everyone and hurt then many people with what I've done."

Before handing downwards the sentence, the judge addressed the accused, telling her, "I've always sort of thought of this case, Ms. Richardson, as a story of two little girls -- Skylar Richardson and Annabelle Richardson.

"I recollect what often gets disregarded ... is just how precious life is," he said. "Your life, Annabelle's life. Life is precious, and it should be protected, and it should be guarded in all respects."

The maximum possible sentence Oda could have granted was 12 months in prison and a $2,500 fine.

Prosecutors painted a movie of a teen who was in a new relationship at the time and wanted nothing to do with the baby or the human being who impregnated her. They alleged she killed the baby after she gave birth in the middle of the night, believing she'd have no future as a mother.

"Upon finding out that she was pregnant by a boy she had null to do with, Brooke Richardson burst into tears and told her doc that she could not take this baby," Prosecutor Steve Knippen told jurors, co-ordinate to the station.

Information technology said prosecutors showed the courtroom a picture of her at the gym hours after giving birth and said she sent a message to her female parent.

"My abdomen is dorsum, OMG. I am never, ever, e'er, ever letting it go like this again. Y'all're about to meet me looking freaking better than before, OMG," the text message said, according to Knippen.

Her defense squad said there was no bear witness the babe was born live. Richardson has maintained that Annabelle was not moving or breathing when she was born, her defence force squad said.

"She buried her girl and marked the grave with flowers on top of it. She didn't throw her in a trash tin can.
